Imperial Manufacturing Group employee Steeve Lavoie recognized at the AQMAT 8th Recognition Gala

Richibucto, NB – In Longueuil, Québec on Saturday March 7, 2020 at the Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth in Montreal sixteen prizes were awarded as part of the 8th AQMAT Recognition Gala . Nearly 450 guests participated at the gala hosted by the Quebec Association of Hardware and Building Materials (AQMAT) in which this year is their 80th anniversary of the organization. Imperial’s employee Steeve Lavoie received the “Loyalty - Suppliers” prize, presented by MVP My Personal Seller, recognizes years of service of an employee, who has been in office for at least ten years, who has helped to build customer loyalty or to build team spirit.

A rigorous and transparent process

"If the event seems like an evening affair, the operation spans several months," recalls AQMAT President and CEO Richard Darveau. Members were invited to apply in the fall. For price categories honoring employees and businesses after an intense week of voting electronics, 55 employees, hardware stores and manufacturers have gone from candidate to candidate status finalists. The candidates representing companies (except those of the Loyalty Prize) were met by the five independent jurors the same day of the gala.


The award recognizes those who have shown exceptional dedication, ingenuity, leadership, passion and professionalism in the Quebec Hardware and Building Materials Industry. They also highlight the success of innovative methods of fostering the development of customer service programs and exceptional efforts to promote a positive initiatives to support our Industry in the province of Québec.
