Imperial is State-of-the-Art

One of the most interesting and vital parts of the Imperial Manufacturing Group Dieppe facility is the Research & Development lab. Equipped with the latest computer-design and modeling systems, IMG R&D is set up to test “virtual” models of new equipment, components and systems. When that isn’t sufficient, technicians test equipment using an artificial climate simulator. And, when testing calls for truly severe conditions, the IMG testing facility is capable of simulating temperatures as low as forty degrees below zero. The R&D lab is fully capable of designing solutions to the problems encountered in the field by HVAC contractors and technicians. It has the space to conduct sophisticated leakage and airflow tests on new products prior to field-testing and certification by organizations such as UL, AMCA, HVI and CSA. Led by Jim Simmons, Director of R&D, the lab solves today’s challenges while designing the air technology equipment of the future.
